Pride Month is our time to come together to celebrate the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer or Questioning and Plus (LGBTQ+) communities. Occurring in June of each year, Pride Month pays tribute to the Stonewall Uprising (June 1969) – a series of protests in New York City that prompted the gay rights movement.
Stonewall precipitated change that the LGBTQ+ communities and their allies have carried forward, achieving incredible progress over a 54-year span. This month, we honor these communities for their substantial impact and significant sacrifices – while reflecting on the work that remains. Pride Month is an opportunity to show our appreciation for our LGBTQ+ family members, friends, and communities and the value that they bring to our company and to our lives.
